
H4 recognises that young people:
- are valued members of the community
- are entitled to the same human rights and protections as all other members of the community
- are entitled to respect and dignity
- have unique and diverse gifts, knowledge and skills and
- make valuable and significant contributions to society.
H4 seeks to provide models of life's best-practices to improve life outcomes of disadvantaged and at risk young people. H4 creates opportunities by investing in programs that help the participants achieve their potential and meaningfully contribute and share in the social and economic life of the community.
The programs are designed to empower the participants by enlightening them to:
- experience in decision-making and leadership skill building in a dynamic and positive environment
- develop key life skills and abilities
- increase a sense of self esteem and confidence
- build team skills including communication, supporting and trusting other
- value differences of each other
- enhance their own sense of self worth and
- experience and celebrate success and have fun!
H4 Youth Foundation offers:
- the chance to try potentially difficult and/or frightening challenges in an atmosphere of care, support and safety.
- the opportunity to 'back off' when performance pressures or self-doubt become too strong, knowing that an opportunity for the future attempt will always be available.
- the chance to try difficult tasks and recognising that attempt.
